Caroline Kelley is an interdisciplinary scholar, writer and artist. Her work seeks to demystify constructions authenticity and make space
for ambiguities. Ambiguities allow us as gendered subjects to negotiate a space within the world’s dominant cultures in which
secretive and multiple manifestations of diversity are not anticipated, accommodated or neutralized (Lionnet 1989). Working interstitially, she’s particularly interested in blurring some of the boundaries that separate practice, theory and criticism – and then creatively engaging with the uncertainties that ensue.
She joined /thirdspace: a journal of feminist theory & culture/ as a section editor in 2008. /thirdspace/ is an open access peer-reviewed
journal – www.thirdspace.ca/ — that focuses on the work of emerging feminist scholars. She also maintains her own website: www.carolinekelley.com/.
