| about |
The ORAL HISTORIES project is linked
to the oldest form of communication, and to one of the most modern. The
goal of the project is to collect stories which relate women’s relations
to technology through their personal experiences. Montreal sound artist
Chantal Dumas worked with 2 generations of women to collect local histories
and create these audio documentaries while travelling with the HTMlles
EXPORT2 project between October 19th and 29th, 2007 |

EXPORT2 is an initiatve of the HTMlles
Festival and StudioXX feminist digital art center in Montreal. This bi-annual
project brings Canadian digital artists on international journeys focused
on fosting intercultural dialog, partnerships and collaborations between
artists and other cultural operators. The first EXPORT project, curated
by Karen Wong, brought artists to Bruxelles and Berlin. In 2006 the second
edition of the EXPORT project, curated by Kyd Campbel brought artists
to Belgrade, Sofia and Istanbul. |
